My Testimony - Part 7 An Indepth Study

As I've mentioned in previous sections of My Testimony, the people who were oppressed with unclean, familiar, evil and demonic spirits were all healed by Jesus and/or His Disciples:

And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils, And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance. Luke 8:2-3
 
The mention of seven devils was also a trail that I explored and found the following details spoken by the Lord Himself:
 
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walks through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he says, I will return to my house whence I came out. And when he comes, he finds it swept and garnished. Then goes he, and takes to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Luke 11:24-26
 
These verses bring two important details to mind. The first being that the unclean spirit is seeking rest. We'll revisit this point later. The second detail being that these unclean spirits are described in a couple of places as knowing who Jesus was:
 
And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him. Mark 1:34
 
And unclean spirits, when they saw him, fell down before him, and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God. And he straitly charged them that they should not make him known. Mark 3:11-12
 
The fact that the unclean spirits knew who Jesus was, suggests that their origins were heavenly but they had fallen just like the book of Genesis mentions, which I personally believe was a direct cause of the flood in Noah's day. Take note of how quickly the Lord is grieved by the wickedness of the earth after this unholy union between fallen angels and human woman:
 
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. Genesis 6:1-6

In the Book of Jude we are told that these fallen angels were bound until the day of judgment:
 
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day. Jude 1:6
 
I am personally of the opinion that the unclean spirits mentioned throughout the New Testament are the spirits of the hybrid race of human/angels who inevitably got caught between two realms. And thus they seek rest in people. But I personally believe this is for 2 reasons. Firstly they're connected to our humanity but I believe it's the spark of God in us that they pursue. In other words, they seek rest with their Creator, but because they can't find Him they seek Him in people. This is an important point because one of the ways I've been able to start setting myself free from their grip has been to tell them the Good News of the Gospel and encourage them to go to Jesus.  This has usually involved a process of encouraging them to confess and ask the Lord for forgiveness for their sins, as well as to forgive others for all their sins.  My motivation for doing this was because I didn't want them moving on to other people and especially not my children. If possible, I wanted them to find true rest in the Saviour of all mankind. Yes, they were hybrids, but they never really had a choice in the matter. Surely their humanity is something the Lord takes into account. Well that's what I personally believe on the subject. More could be said on this topic but I think this covers the necessary parts.
